Dragon Scaffolding manufactures scaffold boards. Scaffold boards are made from a high quality European Whitewood that is important from quality mills. These are mills that guarantee the timber comes from forests that are fully sustainable. These forests meet national or F.S.C. standards. What this means is that the natural resources of the earth are conserved.
All of the timber that is used at Dragon meets the British Standards Institute’s “Specification for Timber Scaffold Boards.” Dragon also has Quality Assurance Accreditation certifications.
The different types of scaffold boards offered by Dragon are:
- Grade A Boards – These are fully compliant boards that are adequately marked with their licensing information. The words “Support Every 1.5m Max” is printed on each board. The Dragon BSI License Number – KM 55149 is printed, as well as any customer details that must be known.
- Fire retardant boards – These are boards that are recommended by the National Access & Scaffolding confederation. These flame and fire retardant boards are also “leach free.”
There are also some other very important aspects of Dragon scaffold boards that are very important:
- Security – The end-bands are personalized with the company name or logo, the company’s name or logo is also on the nailed plates, and the company’s name or logo is also branded into the sides of the boards.
- Nailed plates and end bands – These are very important for the overall stability and security of the scaffold boards. The types of nailed plates that are used by Dragon do really well at preventing the splitting of the board down the middle. The pressure used to place them makes sure they do not pop out above the face of the board. The end bands that are used are nail free so that there are no snags and less time is spent on refurbishing the end-bands after extensive use.
